TurboNotes v2.1

Using TurboNotes

"I wish I could easily store little notes and then
return later to review them ..."

How many times have you made this statement ?

	- - - - - - - - - - Well, here's a solution - - - - - - - - -

Welcome to TurboNotes

"TurboNotes" uses the top edge (a couple of inches) of your screen to help
you quickly and easily store and retrieve notes. Each of your notes is given
a title and is stored for later review. As notes are stored, a dropdown list
is maintained and you can select the note of your choice with the simple click
of your mouse. The actual note text is entered just to the right of the note
title and can be edited at any time. A "Zoom" feature is provided so that you
can exercise greater control when entering, editing or reviewing notes.

You can define several "Topics" and store notes under each of them. Each
time you create a Topic, "TurboNotes" will place an appropriate tab at the
top of its screen. By clicking on one of these tabs you select the Topic you
wish to address and the titles of the notes stored under that Topic will be
displayed. Simply click on the title you wish to select and the note text
will be displayed for your review and/or editing.

Now for the rest of the story ...

Working smart ...

"TurboNotes" (by default) positions itself along the top edge of your screen
each time you start it. "TurboNotes" is designed to remain active while you
use your other applications so that you can quickly store and/or review your
notes. Information can easily be transferred between "TurboNotes" and other
Windows applications via the ClipBoard.

You can have many Topics ...

You can have many "Topics"; however, when you define more than five (5) Topics
the tabs will have to be scrolled left and right to be seen. The left/right
most tab will have its upper, outside corner turned down to indicate that
additional tabs exist. You simply click on the turned down corner to scroll
the tabs and reveal the other Topics.

Deleting a note ...

When you wish to delete a note, simply select it from the dropdown list and then
click on the [Delete] button.

Changing a note ...

If you wish to change the title of a note, simply select it from the dropdown
list and then click the [Modify] button. "TurboNotes" will then allow you to
enter a new title for the note and replace the old title.

Changing and/or deleting Topics ...

You can also delete and/or change Topic titles. To start this process click
on the [Topics] button on the main screen and use the same procedure you did
with note titles.

Working with the Windows Clipboard ...

You can use the Windows Clipboard in conjunction with "TurboNotes". While in
the "Zoom" screen you will find buttons to facilitate this. You will also find
a button to print your note contents to your default printer.

Searching for specific text strings ...

"TurboNotes" provides a 'Text Search' feature to help you isolate the notes
that contain the text in which you are interested. Simply click on the
[Text Search] button and you will be supplied with a panel within which you
can specify your search criteria. You can search only the 'text' of the
notes or you can search both the 'text' and the 'title' of the notes for the
desired text string. Your search can also be specified as 'Case Sensitive'.

The notes that satisfy the search are presented to you as a 'subset' of your
existing notes. Only the Topics containing search results will be used to
create 'tabs' along the top of the screen. As a Topic is selected, only the
notes that satisfy the search will be made available for review and/or editing.

To return to your full set of notes simply click on the [Done] button that
is available when you are in the 'Search Results' screen.
